The HJGHER Journal

and you won’t understand why

November 21st, 2008 Justin

Our contribution to the latest FL.ag magazine’s theme of AIDS was “Too Much Love Will Kill You”. The statement is obvious, so do remember to always rubber your ducky up before you dive in and also, please feel free to follow the simple “cut and fold” instructions to create your very own pop-up heart.

TMLWKY

But in case you you didn’t already know, “Too Much Love Will Kill You” was one of the last songs performed by Freddie Mercury of Queen, before he died prematurely due to him being HIV+. This is our humble tribute to Freddie, the bonafide queen of Queen, one of the greatest performers to have ever graced our eyes and ears. You may have sniggered at his mane handlebar, been outraged by his second-skin outfits and gobsmacked by his ultra-drag antics, but you most definitely, without any doubt, would have sung along to his voice accompanied by Queen’s anthemic tunes.

PS: Do find time to google the lyrics and listen to the song. For any true genius who gave his all and died from it, deserves all due respect from us here at HJGHER.

Of Victory Róse

Sigur Rós in Osaka

They are the Hidden People from beneath the mythical frozen land, they are the sound of melting ice and breathing sky, they are the emotions that perpetuate every before, during and after. On a chilly evening in Osaka, Sigur Rós played those icelandic folklores to us, one after another, and all we did was weep uncontrollably, inside our heads, like the artificial snow on stage.
